DSC03921.JPG   03 Dec 07: Ethical Futures
The RSA event last week was a whirlwind through so many different technologcical futures that tying everything together was quite a challenge. We roved from Web 2.0 to artificially intelligent robot soldiers in a matter of hours.

DSC03543.JPG    23 Nov 07: Scholars for Olympia
The pilgrimage to Olympia after the summer fires in Greece was a very special occasion. It was far more severe than could have been imagined, but also quite poigniant to see the monuments remaining strong.

Geisha spotting in Kyoto
01 Aug 07: Japan
After the Theory, Culture and Society conference, I spent 10 days in Tokyo and Kyoto, where we experienced an earthquake, a typhoon (more or less) and even spotted a Geisha.

Anthony Dunne, Fiona Raby, Michael Anastassiades in the MoMa    May 07: New York, USA
This final project meeting at the Hastings Center was a real treat, especially seeing this piece in the MoMa, designed by friends of mine.

No Nano
03 Apr 07: Grenoble, France
The NanoBio-RAISE project is proving to be very exciting. This week, we visited the hospital in Grenoble and witnessed a surgical procedure with a patient who has Parkinson's Disease. Professor Benabid informed us that this occasion was the deepest they have gone with the brain electrodes. It was a fascinating insight.

  02 Feb 07: London, UK
This week was something of an Olympic week with meetings at the LSE a partial conference engagement on the Riverbank in London and the All Party Olympic conference at Portcullis House in Westminster. The latter was a fasincating programme of speakers which included Seb Coe, Colin Moynihan, Manny Lewisand its host Derek Wyatt. There is so much more to come
