5-11 Dec 06:
New York, USA
I am ashamed to have not updated this entry for 3 months! Still, my most recent trip was a visit to The Hastings Center again, which is always a pleasure. During my stay, I also went down to Manhatten and visited the New York Academy of Sciences and saw Julianne Moore and Bill Nighy in David Hare's very enjoyable play. As nice as it is to see Manhatten at Christmas, it was mayhem throughout! |

17-24 Sept 06:
Shah Alam, Malaysia
This week I attended the first international conference on sport technology and develoment at the lovely city of Shah Alam. The Universiti Teknologi Mara did a great job with this meeting and it was fascinating to spend some time around Kuala Lumpur and the neighbouring regions (just dont take any food if you visit the Batu Caves). |

8-31 July 06:
Beijing, China
This month, Beatriz and I are in Beijing undertaking research for the British Academy with a view to advising the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games on aspects of media and culture. This is our first visit to China and after one week into the trip everything has been superb.

27 June 06:
Dreamspace, Liverpool
Last week, we stumbled on this wonderful environment, which is currently on exhibition in Liverpool, by the Metropolitan Cathedral. I have only been in and out of the city, but am spending most of my time in FACT, which, among other things has free wifi. Kudos! Not many spaces in UK cities are offering this yet, so it's some forward thinking on their part. |
